Sources of energies in Czech Republic
1. Discuss where the Czech Republic’s energy supplies come from. In Czech republic are used to produce electricity these energies : Burning Fossil Fuels
Hydropower energy
Nuclear energy
Solar energy
In Czech Republic we have the most of energy from burning brown coal. Brown coal is a fossil fuel. But this coal makes greenhouse gases effect. These gases are destroying our environment system. So this is a big problem for Czech environment system in future. But we produce from this burning a lot of electricity. But I think, in Czech Republic we could use more hydropower. It’s softer to our environment, and it’s not too expensive. In Czech Republic is produced a lot electricity from hydropower energy. The most of dams in Czech Republic are on river called Vltava. But when was flood, many dams had big problems, and if some of these dams fell down, many and many people would lose their houses, and many people would die. Nuclear power is not used in Czech Republic a lot; we have only two nuclear power stations here. But these two stations produce a lot of electricity. One of them is power station called Dukovany, and second of them is in middle Europe famous power station Temelín. Czech Republic has serious problems with Austria because of this power station. Austrians are afraid, that if this power station exploded, it would have terrible after-effects on Austria, and many Austrians would die. Solar energy is not used in Czech Republic a lot, just in private buildings to warm up water or to produce electricity.
2. Research if there are any natural resources of energy and explain if this energy is renewable or not. We can say that all sources in Czech Republic are natural, but they’re not soft to our environment: 1.Hydropower energy

1. Hydropower energy is a natural source, because this is energy of moving water in rivers, so Hydropower energy is renewable source of energy, because if we built dam, it would produce energy again and again, continually. This energy is without restraint. And we don’t have to put there more and more fuels as in Biomass power station.
2. Solar energy is energy from sun, so it’s of course natural source of energy. As we know, sun doesn’t shine regularly, at night and because of weather. But on some places in world, sun shines 360 days in year. But back to Czech Republic, possibly because of weather the solar panels are not usual in Czech Republic. And second reason can be that the solar panels are very expensive.
3. Nuclear energy is natural source too. We have to find and mine uranium, which we have wasting amount. So it is nonrenewable source.
4. Burning of fossil fuels produce the most of electricity in Czech Republic. In Czech Republic is burned at mostly brown coal. As by uranium we have wasting amount of brown coal and fossil fuels. So it is like nuclear energy nonrenewable.

3. Describe how environmentally friendly the Czech Republic is in terms of energy use.
As I said many times in this essay, Czech Republic uses at most burning brown coal. And burning this coal makes greenhouse gases, so Czech Republic is not environmentally friendly. I think this is very bad for our county and people don’t care about their environment, that’s crazy and those people whose don’t care about it are stupid. I will summarize this. Czech Republic isn’t environmentally friendly and destroys environment of all middle Europe.
4. I think we could build more dams.
Yes they are dangerous for some animals and plants, but id doesn’t do greenhouse effect, and we need electricity, so what can we do? Or we can build more solar panels. But we wouldn’t have so much electricity because sun doesn’t shine all of time. So we can use biomass energy. It’s fine to burn rubbish and some other things that we don’t need, it looks like ideal way to produce electricity, but it makes poison and greenhouse gases. So this is not the right way too. I think I can’t find the right way now; I would have to study that for many years. I think only scientists can safe us and discover the right way.
